My friend Chuck has written this to me also...

The Night Before Christmas

It was the night before Christmas when all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The crackling flames of the fire lit passion throughout, your heart sinks as your eyes move towards the nicely decorated Christmas tree with a few gifts unopened. But your thoughts are with the one person who could make this Christmas glow, that very special person. Your eyes tear up as the emptiness consumes you. Even the warmth of the fire is cold inside your heart. You lull yourself to sleep as the embers leap passions deep within you. Just as you finally are asleep, a knock on the door startles you. Who could that be, you say silently to yourself as you move quietly to the door and peek out the peek hole. What you see, you cannot believe as you unlock the door and quickly focus on the image in front of you. You burst out crying with joy as you jump into his arms forever.

"for the chance to glow for just a little while"

Mirage

She is like a mirage so close but so elusive just out of your reach. Yet so near, her heartbeat wails with loneliness across the barren divide. The mountains are so steep and majestic her sounds echo in his ear for years. Long ago, the two met and fell deeply in love and through utter innocence, they gave away their love for trinkets of the day. Before they realized what they had lost, the magic had evaporated into thin air forever. Only once in a lifetime you meet that special one that lights up your passions for life. Many years have past and they still wonder if they met again if the magic would still be there. Now aging and somewhat bitter, the two are searching for each other again in a gallant attempt to stave away a lifetime of misery for the chance to glow for just little while wrapped in each others infinite love for each other that has never faded through the years. They hope to reach each other before they are no longer. What an amazing story it would be if at the end, they unleashed the passions of a lifetime for each other pent up in every lonely tear they ever shed.

"from Chuck..."

"Oddly, if we grow old enough, we all will be close to the rivers, the forests, the sands of deep passions. For all will perish eventually into our vapors of memories...."

perhaps he is an admirer...

Fearless

She slams her image up against the world challenging all who come near. She has decided not to settle for second best in anything. She wanders through life picking and choosing at her pleasure. And she has an abundance of pleasures to fill her imagination. She twists the men in her life the way she wants. She rarely asks but rather she demands satisfaction. If you do not play her game, you do not play at all. She sparkles in supreme radiance few can match. She is adored by many but she is only designed for one. When she meets him, the thunder will clap, the lightning will flash and pure heaven will appear in her heart.

"Bat your eyes, girl...

be otherworldly, count your blessings, seduce a stranger..."
oh my, someone has just written this (below) about me...

Temptress

She sears her temptations within you leaving no doubt where she is taking you. Her beauty so stunning only the stupid would resist her. She haunts you in every way possible as she peels the resistance layer by layer away from you. You are fixated on her body flowing hair into the wind as she turns her eyes deeply into yours. The pools of passion spill from her eyes as she slowly moves towards your lips. You body is alive and anxious. Your mind is drifting out of control as her body draws nearer to yours. Then she kisses you so softly with intention you melt into her forever.

*left the author's name out, in case he doesn't want it there, I hardly know him yet, too early to tell...but wow...*

Lost and Found

I was downstairs in my basement, looking for something, which I didn't find, but I notice other things, I found old photographs of my family together, in happier times, and pieces of jewelry suspiciously laid out... why this was out, is disturbing to me...an old painting of daisies with a newspaper article about the artist taped to the back of the frame, a letter to my nana from her son (my grandfather) about how he had met a girl (my 1st grandmother), and an old 'navajo' style cb/transistor radio...interesting stuff...

I see, projected intention and real emotion perhaps left unexpressed, from within things my family has kept...

I feel that sometimes, whether we are far away, or not, we are always searching for ways to be closer to home...
